Thanks.  I'm going to bring this up on the mailing list.  After more
thought, I've realized that this is several different issues, so I've
created upstream issue 231 for handling configuration files, and
upstream issue 319 for this specific init script.  I hope we make
progress on it this month; I also have a client who's sponsoring me to
fix a bug (hopefully I'll get access to the environment and repro the
bug in the next few days).  So this might be the month of fixing
mk-slave-delay!
