The problem is about what is supposed to be updated. To me, there's nothing wrong of course with updating menudefs.hook, but I don't like the idea of overwriting users' menu.xml with the system default each time they run update-menus. If they want to use the system default, it would be quicker to rm those files. > I suppose we could rename the old menu if it exists perhaps.
