Package: dhcping Version: 1.2-4 Severity: important Hi,
dhcping doesn't appear to recognize the answer of my DHCP server (a Zyxel router). tcpdump shows the answer, although it's send to the newly requested IP address. Maybe dhcping doesn't support that? Greetings, Olaf # dhcping -s 192.168.1.254 no answer # tcpdump -n port 67 tcpdump: verbose output suppressed, use -v or -vv for full protocol decode listening on eth0, link-type EN10MB (Ethernet), capture size 96 bytes 15:26:06.289488 IP 192.168.1.13.68 > 192.168.1.254.67: BOOTP/DHCP, Request from 00:00:00:00:00:00, length 250 15:26:06.301923 IP 192.168.1.254.67 > 192.168.1.22.68: BOOTP/DHCP, Reply, length 300 ^C -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages dhcping depends on: ii libc6 2.7-18 GNU C Library: Shared libraries dhcping recommends no packages. dhcping suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
