Package: pidgin Followup-For: Bug #519053 Bug is present in 2.5.5-1 too. Funny, the Help window in this pidgin still declares "Pidgin 2.5.4". Is there a problem with the source used to build 2.5.5-1 ? Oh wait. I got that "Pidgin 2.5.4" by launching pidgin from the Gnome menu (I'm pretty sure pidgin had otherwise been switched off, maybe I got confused about this). Running /usr/bin/pidgin directly from the command line, help now says "Pidgin 2.5.5". And after this, it launches from the Gnome menu as "Pidgin 2.5.5". More importantly, with 2.5.5 running (and not being masqueraded by 2.5.4), it does indeed log in to icq. So this bug can probably be closed for unstable users.
