Package: octave-image Version: 1.0.6-3 I can confirm this bug. None of the images (png and jpg) that I tried could be read and shown correctly. (imread, imshow) The image is much to bright and sometimes the displayed image is expanded (tiled). But the size of the image matrix is correct.
This bug makes this package nearly useless for me. --- System information. --- Architecture: amd64 Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-amd64 Debian Release: squeeze/sid 900 testing security.debian.org 900 testing mirror.switch.ch 800 unstable mirror.switch.ch 700 experimental mirror.switch.ch --- Package information. --- Depends (Version) | Installed =========================================================-+-==================== libblas3gf | 1.2-2 OR libblas.so.3gf | OR libatlas3gf-base | 3.6.0-22 libc6 (>= 2.7-1) | 2.9-4 libfftw3-3 | 3.1.2-3.1 libgcc1 (>= 1:4.1.1) | 1:4.3.3-3 libgfortran3 (>= 4.3) | 4.3.3-3 libhdf5-serial-1.6.6-0 | 1.6.6-4 OR libhdf5-1.6.6-0 | libjpeg62 | 6b-14 liblapack3gf | 3.1.1-6 OR liblapack.so.3gf | OR libatlas3gf-base | 3.6.0-22 libncurses5 (>= 5.6+20071006-3) | 5.7+20081213-1 libpng12-0 (>= 1.2.13-4) | 1.2.27-2 libreadline5 (>= 5.2) | 5.2-3.1 libstdc++6 (>= 4.1.1) | 4.3.3-3 zlib1g (>= 1:1.1.4) | 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-12 octave3.0 (>= 3.0.1) | 1:3.0.1-7 graphicsmagick-imagemagick-compat | OR imagemagick | 7:6.3.7.9.dfsg1-3
