Hi Jeff, The problem seems to be solved by installing shared-mime-info, and you can do that as a temporary solution. There's already a bug against gtk itself to depend on that, see http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=518090 I'll close this bug report once the problem gets resolved elsewhere, assuming it does. If not, I'll just add a dependency to libgtk2-perl.
