Hi! No new information for many months now, and the only user seeing this problem no longer being on Debian, I suggest to close the bug.
I bet the issue has already been fixed upstream, and at least the bug's title "ardour: segfault" surely isn't true anymore, since we all know that it's possible to start or open new projects in ardour.
