Package: postgresql-common
Version: 94lenny1
Severity: normal

Hi Martin,

as promised here is my bug report regarding 7.4 to 8.3 cluster upgrade, when
the 7.4 virtual_host configuration option contains more than on interface
address.
The problem seem to be, that the value in the virtual_host option in 7.4 is
space separated and simply copied to the 8.3 listen_addresses option which
is comma separated. Because of this the startup of the new 8.3 cluster
failed with configuration parsing error and so the upgrade also failed.
If required I can also send you a complete copy of the postgresql.conf from
the 7.4 cluster.

Thanks
Michael
