little addition: since original report (2 days ago) 2 more nodes
experienced the same issue and 1 node enjoyed it twice. Here are the
parameters of NFS mounts:

raidserver:/raid/archive on /raid/archive type nfs
(rw,nosuid,noatime,tcp,hard,intr,wsize=32768,rsize=32768,timeo=60,addr=10.0.0.252)
raidserver:/raid/apps on /raid/apps type nfs
(ro,nosuid,noatime,tcp,hard,intr,wsize=32768,rsize=32768,timeo=60,addr=10.0.0.252)
raidserver:/raid/research on /raid/research type nfs
(rw,nosuid,noatime,tcp,hard,intr,wsize=32768,rsize=32768,timeo=60,addr=10.0.0.252)
raidserver:/raid/home on /raid/home type nfs
(rw,nosuid,noatime,tcp,hard,intr,wsize=32768,rsize=32768,timeo=60,addr=10.0.0.252)

if that is of any value

I would greatly appreciate if anyone comments on if either you think I hit the
"ball" by referring to the thread I mentioned:
