Hi, sorry for not having followed up with a test image in time. however, in the meanwhile, there is lenny that has a recent enough syslinux (3.71). could you please retry with that version?
Remember, you experienced the bug with images that had syslinux 3.63 and i thought and still do that your problem was fixed with 3.7x.
