After installing a fresh lenny base installation I installed apache2, php5 and phpsysinfo using aptitude install xxx I verified php is working by creating a simple php page in /var/www While troubleshooting I tested the follwing scenarios http://domain.com/phpsysinfo - prompts me to download php file http://domain.com/phpsysinfo/index.php - prompts me to download index.php http://domain.com/phpsysinfo/index.php?disp=dynamic - works! All apache and php configuration is untouched out of the box for a lenny base install. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages phpsysinfo depends on: ii apache2 2.2.9-10+lenny2 Apache HTTP Server metapackage ii apache2-mpm-prefor 2.2.9-10+lenny2 Apache HTTP Server - traditional n ii php5 5.2.6.dfsg.1-1+lenny2 server-side, HTML-embedded scripti phpsysinfo recommends no packages.
