The following fails: $ ls ~/version/control/.clusterssh .clusterssh $ cd $HOME $ ln -s version/control/.clusterssh .cssh $ cssh <tag name in ~/.cssh> The <tag name> is not read froma file that is a symbolic link. If physically copuied: $ rm ~/.cssh $ cp version/control/.clusterssh .cssh $ cssh <tag name in ~/.cssh> It works.
