Indexierung just sounds weird (klingt komisch) imho and is kind of an anglicism
(indexing).
It's also not correct that the single definition of "indizierung" is to put
items into and index. It also means to build and index for faster information
retrieval.
It may be, that "Indizierung" has some kind of bad connotation in Germany
(Zensur), but that doesn't necessarily make it a "wrong" translation.

I don't plan to update po/de.po myself, but might take a look a complete patch.
