Package: postgresql
Version: 8.3.6-1
Severity: important

When i enable ssl in postgresql.conf "ssl = true", the transfers slow
very very much, i have a table with a bytea column that have small .png
files inside, and the time to a 'SELECT * FROM table' goes from 100ms
with `psql -d database` to 4500ms with `psql -d database -h localhost`
and if i disable ssl in postgresql.conf about 110ms ~ 120ms, i have
tested in other linux with the disto Arch Linux and the same kernel and
postgresql versions and it does not have this problem, for a more
complete description you can see the thread in postgresql general
mailing list http://archives.postgresql.org/pgsql-general/2009-02/msg01297.php .
