severity 511009 serious thanks I'm seeing this problem now.
All of my printers started spewing pages of raw pdf when I upgraded to cups 1.3.9-14 yesterday from whatever was in unstable as of a week or so ago. All of them are HP devices using hplip and network interfaces. The problem apparently is that the files in /etc/cups/ppd ended up with two lines starting '*cupsFilter:', like: *cupsFilter: "application/vnd.cups-postscript 100 foomatic-rip" *cupsFilter: "application/vnd.cups-pdf 0 foomatic-rip" Removing the second line and changing the '100' in the first to '0' got things working again. I gather this is a transition problem in the move from ps to pdf that foomatic isn't quite ready for yet? In any case, it's a pretty horrific bug that really must get resolved before squeeze releases, so I'm increasing the severity on this bug to serious.
