It's already used by nano-udeb, which is probably what is pulling it in. We already had to remove nano from the initrds since having two slang libraries on them broke library reduction. Here's the run-time libslang2-udeb error: Jun 23 21:15:54 anna[1981]: (process:2668): /var/lib/dpkg/info/libslang2-udeb.postinst: 6: ldconfig: not found So your udeb is broken.. I suggest using debhelper's udeb support to avoid this kind of problem. -- see shy jo
