Thanks for clarification. I haven't looked into amsn sources yet, but it's likely that tkcximage extension, which is used by amsn, is using some Tk internals and not only public interfaces. This means that it either needs to be rebuilt after Tk update or may be even rewritten. On the other hand it may still be a bug in Tk itself, and I'll look into this a bit later.
