Package: msmtp Version: 1.4.17-1 Severity: normal when upgrading msmtp 1.4.16-1 to msmtp_1.4.17-1_i386.deb i was prompted regarding the configuration file /etc/msmtprc. the typical "D" command to show the differences failed.
afterwards when i checked, there was a file /etc/msmtprc.ucf-dist that appeared to be an attempted merge of my local changes, with the following messages: ++++*** WARNING: ucf was run from a maintainer script that uses debconf, but ++++ the script did not pass --debconf-ok to ucf. The maintainer ++++ script should be fixed to not stop debconf before calling ucf, ++++ and pass it this parameter. For now, ucf will revert to using ++++ old-style, non-debconf prompting. Ugh! ++++ ++++ Please inform the package maintainer about this problem. thanks for your time and effort in packaging msmtp. andy -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0 APT prefers experimental APT policy: (999, 'experimental'), (990, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.28-1-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages msmtp depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.25 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.9-3 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcomerr2 1.41.3-1 common error description library ii libgcrypt11 1.4.4-2 LGPL Crypto library - runtime libr ii libgnutls26 2.6.3-1 the GNU TLS library - runtime libr ii libgpg-error0 1.4-2 library for common error values an ii libgsasl7 0.2.26-2 GNU SASL library ii libidn11 1.12-1 GNU Libidn library, implementation ii libkrb53 1.6.dfsg.4~beta1-6 MIT Kerberos runtime libraries ii libntlm0 0.3.13-1 NTLM authentication library ii libtasn1-3 1.8-1 Manage ASN.1 structures (runtime) ii ucf 3.0016 Update Configuration File: preserv ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-12 compression library - runtime Versions of packages msmtp recommends: ii ca-certificates 20081127 Common CA certificates msmtp suggests no packages. -- debconf information: * msmtp/host: mail.archive.org * msmtp/tls: /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt on * msmtp/maildomain: archive.org msmtp/sysconfig: true * msmtp/auto_from: true * msmtp/port: 587 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
