Hi Michelle, I would value a lot more the coredump than the .muttdebugN file, so if it's better for you just run ulimit -c unlimited and mutt without any option, so your home dir won't be filled up.
As soon as it exists it is important that we get the message after the exit and the coredump, I suspect that the segfault is fixed and mutt is just exiting because courier-imap fails to malloc() but I cannot say now. Anyway, please disable the -d 7 and just wait for a coredump (or an exit message). Thanks!
