The deb size is not the installed size. BTW, here's what Martyn J. Pearce (the original author) said on http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.lang.perl.modules.class-methodmaker/14/focus=15 It's not your fault, and it's difficult to fix. Essentially, it's templated code; the source is the template, hence the small size, and it's expanded on install.
