Package: libhdf5-openmpi-dev Version: 1.6.6-4 Severity: important When compiling software against libhdf5-openmpi-dev the headers mpi.h and mpio.h are not found from /usr/include/H5public.h. It seems that mpi.h is present at /usr/include/mpi/mpi.h, so /usr/include/H5public.h should be changed from: "#include <mpi.h>" to: "#include <mpi/mpi.h>", while mpio.h is not present at all.
