Just catching up....

Is your recommendation then to use Realplayer and not xine, or somehow
coax xine to use Realplayer codecs? I just tried Realplayer 10.0.9.809
and, interestingly enough, as with xine, Realplayer does not play my
rmvb's at this time. mplayer continues to work fine....
