Package: gnubiff Version: 2.2.10-1 Severity: normal gnubiff needs package fam to be installed in order to manage file-folder mailboxes, but gnubiff only "suggests" fam, see closed bug #444241
With libfam0 installed but without fam installed, gnubiff is unable to manage file or folder mailboxes. It even can lock/freezee when defining one. There is no message explaining this behaviour, just the word "error" instead file mailbox count of messages. It was very frustrating until I found in Internet some clues about the problem with fam dependency. Just installing fam and reinitiating gnubiff the file mailbox worked again in gnubiff.
