Package: inkscape Version: 0.46-5 Severity: normal It appears that all (most?) Inkscape text objects use an experimental SVG feature, which causes the text to appear as a black box in Firefox. e.g., see http://algebraicthunk.net/~dburrows/blog/entry/images/apt-files-diagram-2.svg The remedy for this seems to be selecting Text -> Convert to Text, which according to its hover documentation "preserves appearance". But in fact, it doesn't; for instance, selecting the text "Updates on --merge-avail or --update-avail" in that SVG and choosing "Convert to Text" shifts the text to the left and left-justifies it (even though the text dialog still claims it's center-justified -- another bug or part of the same one?).
