It's supposed to. That's what the code in changelog-file is supposed to do: my $changes = $info->changelog; if (my @errors = $changes->get_parse_errors) { foreach (@errors) { tag "syntax-error-in-debian-changelog", "line $_->[1]", "\"$_->[2]\""; } } This is checked in the test suite, so it presumably didn't stop working entirely.
