Package: vpnc
Version: 0.5.1r334-1
Severity: minor

Hi,

The sample vpnc scripts in /usr/share/doc/vpnc/examples and /etc/vpnc
both contain the line:

IKE Authmode hybrid

However, according to
<http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=440318>, hybrid mode
is disabled, thus, copying the file and editing it does not lead to a
working configuration.
Removing the line (or replacing it with one of the other possible auth
modes - not knowing much about vpnc I don't know which is preferable)
would give more users an example that would work. Certainly, I can
confirm that having no Authmode line allows vpnc to connect to the
Oxford University VPN server.

Cheers,

Michael
