Hi there, I would suggest reassigning this bug to libawl-php, changing it to install to /usr/share/php/awl and change davical to include 'awl/<whatever>.php'. This way you'd use the standard PHP include dir, keep your files in a sane place and make davical include them without making apache jump through hoops.
Another - IMHO a lot dirtier - option would be to include a /etc/davical/davical.conf (or something like that), which would have the default dir for libawl-php. The only advantage being portability, perhaps.
