Package: xvnc4viewer
Version: 4.1.1+X4.3.0-30
Severity: important

Thanks for maintaining xvnc4viewer.

It's handy.

The main reason I'm writing is that I happened to
notice that it crashes intermittently.

Here's a script that elicits the crash about half
the time I run it ...

    ssh remote-computer-name 'x11vnc -localhost -find -bg -timeout 15 -unixpw' &
    sleep 5
    xvnc4viewer -via remote-computer-name localhost:0

xvnc4viewer reports ...

    xvnc4viewer: ../rfb/zrleDecode.h:146: void rfb::zrleDecode24A(const
rfb::Rect&, rdr::InStream*, rdr::ZlibInStream*, rdr::U32*, rfb::CMsgHandler*):
Assertion `len <= end - ptr' failed.
    /home/user/bin/vnc_script: line 3: 12105 Aborted                 (core
dumped) xvnc4viewer -via remote-computer-name localhost:0

I also noticed that this bug and #513531 both
involve RFB, so I suppose they may be related.

Thanks,
Kingsley
