Would it be possible to also detect duplicates of free fonts already in Debian?
As you can see from here, there are a ton of Bitstream Vera duplicates in Debian already (and these are just the ones with the same md5sum): http://pkg-fonts.alioth.debian.org/review/fnt-785d2fd45984c6548763ae6702d83e20.html Doing it by lowercased filename should be enough for many fonts. Might also be a good idea to compare the md5sum of .ttf files with known hashes of the versions of Vera/DejaVu/FreeFont that can be found in Debian currently (including the versions in other packages). -- bye, pabs http://wiki.debian.org/PaulWise
