1. Attempt to convert by referencing the .vmdk config file:
# qemu-img convert -f vmdk freebsd-6.1-i386.vmdk -O raw
/dev/mapper/Debian-nanobsdphysdiskfix

2. Attempt to convert by referencing the first in a series of vmdk
images:
# qemu-img convert -f vmdk freebsd-6.1-i386-s001.vmdk -O raw
# /dev/mapper/Debian-nanobsdphysdiskfix
ls -l --time=atime freebsd-6.1-i386-s00{1,2}.vmdk
-rw------- 1 root root 179175424 2009-01-28 16:39
freebsd-6.1-i386-s001.vmdk

3. Attempt to preconcatnate all .vmdk files (yea, of course I expect
this to break haha... had to try anyway)
No error reported until guest attempts to boot.
4. Convert each .vmdk file, then concatinate all to destination.
