Package: procps
Version: 1:3.2.7-11
Severity: minor

Version 1:3.2.7-10 adds the following comment to /etc/sysctl.conf:
# This disables TCP Window Scaling (http://lkml.org/lkml/2008/2/5/167),
# and is not recommended.

This comment is misleading, as can easily be determined by reading the rest
of the linked thread. Quoting Alan Cox:
> Syncookies only get used at the point where the alternative is failure.
> No SACK beats a DoS situation most days

See also http://lwn.net/Articles/277146/ for
more information about why syncookies are still useful.
