Package: octaviz Version: 0.4.7-2 Severity: normal
I have tried starting Octave (using the command "octave") and then immediately running the example "BandContourTerrain" using the Octave command "run /usr/share/doc/octaviz/examples/BandContourTerrain.m". This only results in a grey window with the title "Visualization Toolkit - OpenGL". The comments in the example indicates that there should be a somewhat more colourful result. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fo_FO.ISO-8859-1, LC_CTYPE=fo_FO.ISO-8859-1 (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages octaviz depends on: ii libblas3gf [libblas.so 1.2-2 Basic Linear Algebra Subroutines 3 ii libc6 2.7-18 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libfftw3-3 3.1.2-3.1 library for computing Fast Fourier ii libgcc1 1:4.3.2-1.1 GCC support library ii libgfortran3 4.3.2-1.1 Runtime library for GNU Fortran ap ii libhdf5-serial-1.6.6-0 1.6.6-4 Hierarchical Data Format 5 (HDF5) ii libice6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 Inter-Client Exchange library ii liblapack3gf [liblapac 3.1.1-1 library of linear algebra routines ii libncurses5 5.7+20081213-1 shared libraries for terminal hand ii libreadline5 5.2-3 GNU readline and history libraries ii libsm6 2:1.0.3-2 X11 Session Management library ii libstdc++6 4.3.2-1.1 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libvtk5 5.0.4-1.1 Visualization Toolkit - A high lev ii libx11-6 2:1.1.5-2 X11 client-side library ii libxext6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxt6 1:1.0.5-3 X11 toolkit intrinsics library ii octave3.0 1:3.0.1-6lenny1 GNU Octave language for numerical ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-12 compression library - runtime octaviz recommends no packages.
