The menuing system is functional well documented and intuitive from the initial Welcome Screen to the Finish Button. I went backwards forwards and ssideways through the menus a few times (since I could) no big rush to get the OS installed. The <TAB> feature of the boot menu is really nice for inexperienced users like myself. I wrote down all the defaults. I'll need a few more practice runs with Loading Installer Components, before I fully understand what it wants. The ltsp feature is something I want to get to know also. And you can be certain I will take a look at the setup.exe and gdldr as soon as I dig out an old Slack,KDE4/XP box. A few things I noticed. My front panel USB card reader/writer was asssigned (sda, sdb, sdc, sdd, sde) and while in the Installer my SATA disks were named (sdf, sdg, sdh and sdi). It was a bit weird at first glance and I can only imagine what that is going to look like when mixing in a raid array or another OS that wants to share the machine. From installation-report 510370 I installed /boot on /dev/sda1 and / on /dev/sda5. On this install I cleaned and deleted partitions 6 - 15 and rebuilt them to get some more practice with the beast. Than I installed base files to /dev/sda6 and I use /dev/sda1 to boot both installations. The reason I haven't marked Install base system - Overall install is that I had to unmount the disk and finish with the netinst daily build disk. I think it was due to my not having loaded the correct Installeer Components. Over all the install went well and I will duse the Installer again.
