aptitude install -t experimental libtool

which I think is the same thing.

I'm not an archive/package expert but I guess a full upgrade from
lenny to some future distribution would work OK.  But I still think
this is a bug.  Look at perl/perl-doc:

perl-doc 5.10.0-19 has 
Depends: perl (>= 5.10.0-1)

and perl 5.10.0-19 has
Conflicts: ... perl-doc (<< 5.10.0-1)

Could libtool do something similar?  Not a Recommends, just a
Conflicts: libtool-doc (<<2.2.6a-1).
