If I click on the update-notifier icon, I get prompted for my keyring password as usual, but update-manager doesn't appear, printing the following error messages in my session log instead. If I run update-manager from a terminal it works normally. GConf Error: Failed to contact configuration server; some possible causes are that you need to enable TCP/IP networking for ORBit, or you have stale NFS locks due to a system crash.
