In an end user context I'm not sure it works so well for that: I would imagine that most of the news style content is too detailed or technical to be readily comprehensible to a wide audience. Personally, I also find that many of the posts don't end up working terribly well in the context of the screensavers since the screensavers tend to work better with very short messages and pulling bits out of postings without context frequently makes them hard to comprehend. > We removed the use of fortune because some people complained, especially > about the dependency.
