I just upgrade the debian-cd to 3.1.0 and found that there are some changes that cause the simple-cdd (0.3.8) to issue the errors which stop the cd build process. I think the maintainer always follow the debian-cd upstream and ready to upload new version of simple-cdd that fix these errors.
