I haven't been able to make it hang, but it doesn't mean there's a bug somewhere, specially since you said it was a bit racy :) I see this in console when trying to play the m4a without gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad: ** Message: don't know how to handle audio/mpeg, mpegversion=(int)4, framed=(boolean)true, codec_data=(buffer)1390, rate=(int)22050, channels=(int)2 I guess decibel-audio-player could win GStreamer plugins autoinstallation support.
