Today as usual I tried to upgrade the system. I'm trying to stick to lenny as
much as possible. I did the regular aptitude upgrade and then from the text
UI,
I selected almost all available packages for upgrade. aptitude downloaded files
correctly (apparently), but it didn't carry out all the upgrades, but just a
minor part of them.
After having tried to do the upgrade process, aptitude showed me a dialog
informing about size mismatch in the file corresponding to perl-core package.
At this stage, I went to the apt-cacher-ng web interface to perform an
expiration process. It worked as expected, but the problem still existed. I
tried not upgrading perl components. but then it complained about flex package.
At this point, I restarted the daemon and performed a new expiration, which
again was supposedly right. So far, I'm still with the lenny version, 0.2.2-2
I decided to upgrade apt-cacher-ng, set it up again, bare upgrade &&
dist-upgrade with aptitude. No way. Again expiration, apparently correct
again,
restart and expiration. Again aptitude:
