I hope you will want to provide me >a few informations anyway, if I may "bug" you a little more... sync-engine is for WM5+, to sync WM2003 and earlier you need to use the old multisync or preferably the synce plugin from opensync, which I don't think is available in debian. We have it in launchpad for ubuntu, Jonny we'll have to sort out a way for you to package that. Olivier, please bear in mind these version differences apply to PIM syncing only. The actual connection is handled by the same tools whatever version. >>> I try to connect to a Windows Mobile 2003, thus I followed >>> instructions here: >>> http://www.synce.org/moin/SynceSetup/WindowsMobile2003, and thus >>> installed synce-hal (which removed odccm). >> Did you use odccm before with your device? >Not really, I installed it while doing some trials with synce recently. >I don't remember exactly what I tried with it. I'm going to release from synce today or tomorrow. Jonny may have some fun with packaging the new synce-hal for debian after that :) Jonny, you may want to look at my packaging in launchpad. >My final and important goal is to be able to sync with my Linux box via >bt a Symbian device I intend to buy soon. Having said that, if what you want to do is connect your WM2003 to linux by bt, we're what you want :) With synce-hal 0.13 I can connect WM2003 via bt easily, WM5+ is still a little experimental.
