reassign 509346 libnotify1 thanks Sam Morris wrote: > Package: network-manager-gnome > Version: 0.7.0-1 > Severity: minor > > The 'you are now connected to the wireless network xyz' message is truncated > by the 'don't show me this again' button. The useful part of the message (the > network name) is overwritten by the button. :)
That is a bug in libnotify (or notification-daemon, I'm not 100% sure). I've attached a simple test case (taken from the libnotify sources), where you can see, that the network name "foobar" is not displayed (see attached screenshot). This seems to be a layout issue in libnotify/notification-daemon. If I further increase the length of the message string, there is a proper line break and the notification is rendered correctly. I'm reassigning to libnotify to let its maintainer handle that. Cheers, Michael -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
