When launching network-admin, the Debian release is not recognized and an 'Unrecognized Platform' dialog is presented. Sid is not mentioned in the list of releases but the check made in /usr/share/setup-tool-backends/scripts/platform.pl uses DISTRIB_ID and DISTRIB_RELEASE from /etc/lsb-release. My /etc/lsb-release looks like this: DISTRIB_ID=Debian DISTRIB_RELEASE=3.1 DISTRIB_CODENAME=sarge DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Debian GNU/Linux" platform.pl check_lsb() uses DISTRIB_RELEASE, but in all the scripts this is ccompared with the value 'sarge' rather than 3.1 for compatibility. A nasty hack workaround is Modifying DISTRIB_RELEASE to 'sarge' to allow the tool to recognise the system.
