I don't find it acceptable to have a fresh-installed package writing 2 lines on my syslog every 5 seconds.
Especially since upstream suggests 120s as the default and Debian used to not loop at all in the past. I'm not bumping the severity again however as I don't want to go into a severity war :) I'm leaving it up to the maintainers. Thom or Micah, please respond ASAP.
