Package: python-central Version: 0.6.8 Severity: normal
This bug is closely related to #409390 and #479852, because the underlying problem seems to be the same. If a new upload of a Python module drops support for previously supported Python versions, the old symlinks and pyc files are not removed (although they will be removed eventually when the Python version for which support was dropped is removed from the system). The preinst could check for which Python versions the symlinks are already there and if any of the existing versions are not supported anymore. best, Torsten --- System information. --- Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux 2.6.28-shl1 Debian Release: 5.0 500 unstable www.debian-multimedia.org 500 unstable ftp.de.debian.org 500 unstable emacs.orebokech.com 500 experimental www.debian-multimedia.org 1 experimental ftp.de.debian.org --- Package information. --- Depends (Version) | Installed =======================-+-=========== |
