Hello,

This bug is a result from this patch:

http://patch-tracking.debian.net/patch/misc/view/yum/3.2.12-1.2/yum/misc.py

Applied on this bug:

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=490368

Although it solves the import error, that code does not work,
rendering yum unusable.

This bug is triggered when yum tries to import a GPG key into the RPM database.

Yum must depend on this python module (not available on Debian):

http://pypi.python.org/pypi/pygpgme

The current dependency on python-pyme is wrong and this is not the
library upstream is using.

Please consider adding pygpgme to the repository and removing the
patch applied on yum that changes the import.

Regards,

Miguel
