This bug does need attention - even removing the "save" option from the
cropping tool window so that one has to save via the main window would
fix this problem.
The whole gthumb package needs, but I won't touch it until Lenny is released,
sorry (there's a new upstream version there.)
Kindly,

A new gthumb on sourceforge, or in experimental? This gthumb problem was
reported well ahead of the Lenny freeze.
I've run into a few bugs lately where a very simple fix would render a
package safer (as in this case, where I removed the "save" option on the
crop window in the gthumb source) or make it work where it previously
failed (gnu-fdisk segfaulting, eata kernel module in kernels
2.6.23-2.6.27 not working).
Does the Lenny freeze mean that even these kind of fixes when applied by
the Debian package maintainer will not be able to be applied to the
packages to ship with Lenny?
Arthur.
