First I saw this bug while trying to build SystemTap Tapset Reference for systemtap package, but I can also reproduce it with http://www.tldp.org/authors/template/Sample-HOWTO.xml (after processing with xsltproc), with both xmltex and pdfxmltex.
It is on amd64.
