It isn't the responsibility of the Autoconf package to provide
everything that an Autoconfiscated package might need.  A C
compiler is needed by AC_PROG_CC, but Autoconf doesn't install a
C compiler either.

Upstream autoconf, as far as I can tell, does not install any of
these either.

The former is a nice suggestion, but in fact there is no
standardized place as far as I know.  I don't see why autoconf
should provide a method to copy them.  Are you unable to copy the
files yourself?
