Ok, that makes a difference and I can see video. Now, just because this was working until a few days ago and I didn't touch the "autodetect" option until you asked me to do so, I'd say there's probably either a regression in some related package or a missing dependency for a more recent version of something. Apart from that, ximagesink looks a bit less nice than xvimagesink.
