Package: linux-image-2.6.26-1-powerpc Version: 2.6.26-12 Severity: normal Hi there,
I reported this already long time ago but recent kernel images in sid show this error again: After inserting the module eeprom during boot process I get the message "PMU not reposnding (!ACK)" after a timeout period of at least 10 seconds or so and then the kernel stops booting. A code review in the sources of kernel 2.6.28 shows that this message is displayed in the function wait_for_ack in drivers/macintosh/via_pmu.c line 1131 ffs. I already reset nvram and pmu but this does not help. Perhaps upstream can take care of this.
